 Credit card facilities

Now your clients can make payments
using their credit/debit cards without you having to set up merchant accounts,
rent PDQ machines, etc.. YourAlbumOnline now gives you the option
to accept payments for reprints via PayPal or Nochex.

PayPal is a long-established, totally secure facility where anyone with
an Email address can open an account FREE, and can thereafter send or
receive payments. Buyers must give a credit card number when opening an
account, which is charged when purchases are made. Sellers can enter their
bank account number, and can then transfer any PayPal funds directly to
their own bank.

Nochex is a U.K. based operation which works in a very similar way to
PayPal (above). Sellers must open an account (FREE), and can thereafter
send or receive payments. Buyers may open an account OR can simply
make payments by entering their credit card number - they do not have
to open an account.
Note: Only cards issued by a United Kingdom bank can be accepted by Nochex.

Transaction charges are (sadly) payable from
each transaction and are something like 3.5% plus £0.25 per transaction,
but there are no monthly, annual or one-off charges. Please
check the PayPal
or Nochex
web sites for current rates.

Key features for photographers:

PayPal supports
most major currencies, so any wedding guest from a country outside the UK
can probably use PayPal without the hassle of currency conversion. |

Nochex can
only be used by U.K. based clients (i.e. with U.K. issued cards), but against
this - payments can be made without having to open an account, which makes
it quicker to use. |

You can elect
to offer PayPal or Nochex payments (or both) for all your albums submitted
to YourAlbumOnline OR you choose which individual albums are enabled. |

PayPal and
Nochex can only be used for online transactions, such as reprint orders
through our web site - it does not apply to normal "in-studio"
transactions such as basic wedding packages. |

How do you get set up ?

Go to the PayPal
or Nochex web sites and open a Business
Account. Your account "number" will be your Email address |

Let us know
your PayPal/Nochex account, and whether you want it for all future albums or just
for selected ones |

|
The "Album
Submission" form on the web site includes the options of 'Accept
PayPal/Nochex' for this album - you can offer both if you wish. |

How will it work ?
|
| |
|
When your client presses the 'check-out' button,
they will see confirmation of their order (as at present). They will still
have the option to print and send a cheque, but will have the additional
PayPal or Nochex options. If they choose either of these, the order will
be E-mailed directly to you. PayPal/Nochex will then E-mail you to confirm
that payment has been received, at which time you can safely process the
order.
